{"id":250,"date":"2015-04-13T19:23:43","date_gmt":"2015-04-13T19:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/misharabinovich.com\/blog\/?p=250"},"modified":"2021-04-11T12:29:23","modified_gmt":"2021-04-11T12:29:23","slug":"feminist-data-visualization-at-lacma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/misharabinovich.com\/blog\/?p=250","title":{"rendered":"Feminist Data Visualization at LACMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I participated in the Feminist Data Collectathon workshop at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacma.org\/lab\" title=\"Art Plus Tech Lab at LACMA\">Art Plus Technology<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hashatit.com\/hashtags\/ArtPlusTech\" title=\"ArtPlusTech\">#ArtPlusTech<\/a>) lab at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacma.org\/\" title=\"LACMA\">LACMA<\/a> yesterday. The project was part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anninaruest.com\/pie\/\" title=\"Annina R\u00c3\u00bcst Piece of the Pie Chart Project\">Annina R\u00c3\u00bcst&#8217;s<\/a> residency at the lab and it was also co-lead by <a href=\"http:\/\/micolhebron.com\/\" title=\"Micol Hebron homepage\">Micol Hebron<\/a> (the head of the Gallery Tally project).<\/p>\n<p>Annina got her hands on some juicy LACMA data, and we played around with different visualization ideas. One idea was to take a look at what the most exhibited artists at LACMA are, and how many of them are female.
